Tom Hollander is literally (he’ll be on Broadway in Spring) and figuratively coming to North America in 2018, hooray! His Rev. Adam Smallbone will be appearing on BritBox in the US and Canada from Wednesday 10th January. Because I’m in the UK I can’t see anything on the BritBox website other than a note telling me it’s not available in my country, but here’s the website https://www.britbox.com/

January 10th: Rev. (Seasons 1-3) (BritBox Premiere) – Meet The Rev. Adam Smallbone (Night Manager and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’s Tom Hollander). He’s a Church of England Vicar, newly promoted from a sleepy rural parish to the busy, inner-city world of St Saviour’s in Hackney, East London. It’s a world of which he has no experience; and it shows.” Source

Rev.’s a gentle, warm-hearted comedy co-created by Tom and writer James Wood. Tom even wrote one of the episodes (S3E3) himself. The commenters at the AV Club are clearly huge fans of the series and you can read their thoughtful responses to the (also thoughtful) reviews here.

Here’s a clip from Series One, Episode 4 with a guest appearance from Hugh Bonneville.

Above: picture shows Tom Hollander, Jon Canter (who wrote the Rev Diaries book) and James Wood interviewed at the Hay Festival in 2014.

You can download a recording of the above discussion (for £1) and hear other (free) interviews from our Audio interviews with Tom Hollander page.

If you’re wondering who Tom Hollander is (you’ve probably seen him quite recently in The Night Manager as Corky (which also stars Olivia Colman… who plays his wife in Rev.), or as the chemist in Taboo) then this short clip from Vimeo might help, or the now-out-of-date collage of some of his roles.
